The Office (see layout) is located at 3179 Sweeten Creek Rd in South Asheville (see map) and is currently under construction. Opening date is targeted for July 2008. The office is 2500 sq ft and will have 6 operatories with all brand new Adec equipment and digital radiography operating on EagleSoft dental software.

The Plan of Operation
A significant amount of operational information has been gathered from successful existing ethical private practices who primarily see such populations and whose dentists and staffs have generously shared invaluable advice and guidance. While there is no guarantee of expected results, careful attention to existing sustainable models and ongoing research of new dental delivery initiatives better predicts successful outcomes for this new practice.
The practice will see patients with NC Medicaid insurance age 18 and up (there are existing clinics for children). The plan is for dentists to operate from 2 chairs with one chairside assistant. In addition there will be a roving assistant and front desk personnel. All dental support staff will be expected to be cross-trained and will rotate duties on a regular basis in order that operations can continue smoothly if a member is away. The model becomes economically feasible in a small group practice format.
The dentists will operate in the practice as independent contractors and will be reimbursed 40% of collections for their services they perform for their patients. They will be responsible for all related taxes including self-employment and 1099 income taxes. As Independent Contractors, all treatment planning and procedures will be at the sole discretion of the treating dentist providing only clearly indicated treatments and always within the Standard of Care.

The staff will be employees of the corporation with above area average hourly compensation and excellent bonus potential in lieu of pre-defined benefits packages.
Total future staffing of dentists and auxiliaries will be dependent on patient flow requirements.
